Kelly

The officer is average height, average build, and has the sort of appearance that didn’t stick in your mind. This was deliberate. He had honed the ability to blend in, to be unnoticed. It had kept him alive long enough for grey hairs to start to show around his temples. He moves along the corridor, opens a locked door and enters an office. He sits down at the large but orderly desk and opens a personal view screen. After tapping a few keys, words appeared and he begins to read.

Security level: Classified Ultra secret

Starfleet Intelligence - Q Division

Cmdr. Heron. K.

Assignment: USS Carolina

Commander Heron was tasked with the defence of the Carolina and its Captain. As those in Q division know, The Carolina and Captain Seelowe are focal points for the future and timeline Alpha. They must be secured at all costs. She was at first inhibited by the future Seelowe (Seelowe Blue), who sent the Carolina to reality 475, where a massive quantum creature had ripped apart most of the galaxy. Commander Heron showed great resourcefulness and tenacity in securing a ship from DS19 (See DS19 crime reports) she used it to detonate the warpcore, inside the Sanuw wormhole. This in turn caused a subspace breach, through which she skilfully plotted a slingshot manoeuvre around a dying star, using the event horizon she achieved her goal, and ripped her way into reality 475. Several weeks later she found the USS Carolina and her crew.

Both ship and crew had changed since she had last been aboard. Upon briefing Captain Seelowe on what he needed to know, He made her acting first officer. Commander Heron was then in a prime location to protect her Captain and the Carolina. She utilised several of our nano spiders to allow Seelowe and various other crew members pivotal to timeline alpha, to be monitored at all times. Unbeknownst to the rest of the crew she continued her vigil against the Future Seelowe.

Thankfully Agent Heron is very hard to kill, she is stubborn, simply refusing to die until her job is done. Q Division suspects she was even granted some of Q's abilities during her stay with the Q as a temporal agent. She is proficient in hand to hand combat, and tinkers with Klingon cloaking and disrupter tech. Coupled with her aforementioned tenacity she is a formidable agent.

Her last report indicated the future Seelowe had ambushed the Carolina and intended to take her away from "The meddling infants" back to his future time for his own nefarious needs. The crew that had been collected from various time lines, were returned to their realities. Agent Heron was thrust towards her homeworld, her last report was from an abandoned mining colony not far from the location, where the Carolina had vanished into the future.

The officer stops reading and a slight frown appears on his brow, he rubs his forefinger briefly between his eyes as if attempting to erase the creases and releases a small exasperated sigh. He then taps a few more keys and the screen changes to a flickering, grainy video image. The picture is distorted and interlaced with static. Kelly Heron appears on screen her face is dirty, she has unkempt hair and her uniform is scuffed and torn in odd places. The image on the screen begins speaking.

"Access subspace transponder, target 220 mark 34 praxis beacon, relay to Q Prime. Agent Heron reporting. Mission failure, Carolina and Seelowe taken to the future by Seelowe Blue. He considers the crew as meddling infants and has returned them to their timelines. I have lost all traces of the Carolina, I'm marooned on a hostile pre warp civilisation, which seems to be at war with each other. The Kekken are still hunting me and I have not heard from Q in several weeks now. I'm almost out of food and water and my phaser is almost out of charge.”

She takes a deep breath and exhales slowly, finally opening her eyes, the azure one sparkling with mischief.

"However I do have an idea. I’m going get hold of some red matter. I don’t know how yet, but when I do I’m going to use it to form a large black hole in the same place the Carolina was taken from us. This galaxy is such a mess it’s highly unlikely anything will be affected by it, and to be quite honest, I don’t care anymore. This place deserves to be wiped off the map and timelines forever! I know, I know...I can hear you now, blah blah temporal this and that. Well sorry Admiral, it’s simple. I'm here and your not. If you want my job for this, then get off your hover chair, walk out of your luxury office and travel across 300 realties and several thousand light years to come and take it from me!"

She slams her fist down hard on the table, causing the picture to wobble slightly and regards the camera for a moment with a raised eyebrow of indignation.

"Sometimes you have to say the hell with all the rules, I have a job to do, friends to protect and a ship to get back."

She stands and begins to gather her belongings, flipping a casual salute to the screen.

"Now if you will excuse me, I got a job to do," she says with determination and a grim set jaw.

"Agent Heron out."

Kelly throws a brick at the screen and the picture tilts then turns to static.

The screen clears and more words appear.

This was the last report Q division received from Cmdr Heron. Following the sightings of the Carolina and the recent Ferengi incident timeline alpha has been skewed once more. Probability shows a 98% match that Agent Heron is involved somehow. A team is being assembled to locate and recall Agent Heron. She is charged with nine breaches of the temporal prime directive and violations of various treaties with member states. All temporal agents are ordered to apprehend her and deliver her to Starfleet intelligence security for debriefing. She is to be considered dangerous and highly resourceful until further notice.

The officer allows himself a brief smile then leans back in his chair, sighs again, and returns to rubbing the creases that have reappeared on his brow.
